Whether you are dashing from the office or rushing round the shops…life is hectic and there is something about a cuppa that slows everything down and gives you the time to stop……for as long as you want or have time for……we really wanted to create a space that looks and feels different from all the other cafes and coffee/tea outlets……and that felt fresh, modern, clean and welcoming.

We were surprised at the lack of things to do for children in most places…no wonder they get bored……! So we have provided small art stations for them to help themselves to colouring…and we have plain cupcakes for them to decorate while you relax and stop for a while…

People ask us…”what's your demographic profile???” …er!…mmmm!…you know what? It’s a space for all…a tea space (and coffee of course!…and hot choc…and more…) but something really for everyone from wherever and in whatever mood they happen to be in……or is that too broad and doesn’t fit into a box???…………who wants to!!

When people think of tea shops…they sometimes think of frilly things or twee…maybe…and of course they are wonderful and have their place….but this is something new and 21st Century that still holds on to traditional values…important values……from the heart.

We want people to see tea as THE modern drink with thousands of years of history and tradition behind it…that should not be forgotten.

We would like to see a Tea Monkey in every city and town giving people an alternative…….a choice and always being that little bit different…that little bit independent…because that’s what we are…
